Hunger games is an excellent read for all ages. If you have followed her other books, then you know that she likes to right about main characters that live in poverty and go through some sort of coming of age through battles. In the series, "The Underland Chronicles," the main character, Gregor, lives in a impoverished apartment with his immediate family except he hasn't seen his father in several years/. In the Hunger Games, the main character also lives in a impoverished apartment and her dad has been dead for several years. Then, Gregor leaves his family to go fight a war. His family has no idea where he is at all. Again, very similarly, The main character of the Hunger Games has t fight for her life without her family being able to know how she is.
